The Temporary residence to Permanent residence program commenced on May 6, 2021, with the recent graduates stream filling up 40,000 applications in 26 hours, when it closed. That was roughly equivalent to 26 applications every minute on an average. The Workers in Canada: essential, non-health care stream closed soon after taking in 40,000 applications.
The only English speaking program that is still open is the Workers in Canada: health care stream. As of 1 Sept, 2021, the there are only 4,004 applications and IRCC is inviting a total of 20,000 applications in this stream.
